Bound-in at rear are 4 pages, with 2 mounted press clippings [8 columns] commenting on the auction, both its varied & interesting content, as well as expressing a bit of increduality at the relatively modest sums realized. 8vo. Some wear & rubs to binding, with the front joint starting towards the top. Spine label with chip to rear. Withal, a VG copy. Addington one of the prominent collectors of his day, which went much beyond the mss here offered; the auction's 399 lots included Oliver Cromwell, Dr. Johnson, Descartes, etc. etc. This catalogue itself quite uncommon, with OCLC & KVK locating but 4 copies in the Western world.
